Colorado criminal case dismissed
The Law Offices of Clifton Black, PC defense attorneys earned two dismissals on two separate cases over the last two weeks. The first matter was a felony child abuse charge in the El Paso County Combined Courthouse. We recommended completing a child abuse evaluation, and upon receiving the report, we negotiated diligently with the District Attorney, who ultimately dismissed the case.
The second matter involved dangerous dogs and dogs at large charges in Colorado Springs. We enrolled as attorneys of record and immediately began working with the City Attorney’s office. We recommended that the case be more appropriate for the Neighborhood Justice Center, to which they agreed. After mediation through the Neighborhood Justice Center, the case was dismissed outright.
