Joani W. Harshman is currently building a Cannabis Law practice pursuant to Missouri’s new Medical Cannabis Law Article XIV of the Missouri Constitution. Amendment 2 passed by an overwhelming 65% of the voters in November 2018 making Missouri the 33rd state to legalize medicinal use. As an advocate for patient access to medicinal cannabis, Joani has participated in the historic public forums giving input on the new law and is working to educate patients, caregivers, and entrepreneurs as the state’s regulations are finalized.

Joani attended law school at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, graduating in the top third of her class. She has gained valuable experience working for a plaintiff’s firm, a defense firm, the public defender’s office and several general practice firms before starting her own law practice, The Harshman Law Firm, LLC in June 2004. She is currently licensed in both Missouri and Kansas. As a mother of three young children, Joani understands the struggle to balance family, career and a busy life.
